Why do you want to become a professional speaker? Believe me, there are much easier ways to make a living! If you don’t have a compelling reason to make it in this business, you will fail. It requires years of hard work and persistence to earn money speaking. Watch this short post, and I’ll look forward to your comments. (Steve Siebold)
Why Do You Speak?

Steve Siebold, CSP My name is Steve Siebold. I’m an author with 1.4 million books in print, and a professional speaker and consultant to Fortune 500 sales teams on how to increase sales and retention rates through mental toughness training. My corporate clients include Johnson & Johnson, Toyota, Harrah’s Entertainment, Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, Ingersoll Rand, etc.
Who do I want to be a speaker? What’s in it for me?
To have a way to pass along all I have learned from building a successful business from nothing to $200 million in assets under management and then sell it. To have control of my time and the amount of hours I want to work. Also because I love to travel and find public speaking invigorating. And, I’m good at it.
Hi Steve,
I love to touch people’s hearts, see and hear them say “ah-ha” when they learn a valuable insight, and the levels of energy, engagement, morale, and well-being rise.
I enjoy the feeling of establishing relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and commitment.
What inspires your interest in why I personally want to be a more highly and frequently paid public speaker? What benefit do you get out of it?
Thank you in advance,
Julius Csizmazia
I think that most people need to hear things at a 3rd grade level. I love explaining advanced concepts in a simple format so people can say, “Now, I get it!”
Why do I want to Speak?
Of course, I want to entertain them. But most of all, I want to connect with people and Inspire people, not to bored them and put them to sleep.
Those are good reasons, Clara. I hope you decide to go for it. The world needs more inspiration and connection!
