If you could achieve your ultimate vision as a professional public speaker, what would it look like? Would you be speaking at Microsoft’s national convention with Bill Gates in the front row? How about being the opening keynote at a convention with 20,000 people in Madison Square Garden? Whatever your dream is, make sure your business plan is getting you closer each day. I’m in the middle of a 5-city, cross country speaking tour, and this video post is from beautiful San Francisco. Don’t be a speaker who settles for whatever this business hands you. Identify your ultimate speakers fantasy and then make it happen. Isn’t that what we tell our audiences to do? I’ll look forward to your comments. Steve Siebold ( 1:55 )

my goal/dream is the big halls around 100 to 10,000
around four per year and then the rest would be corporate middle management and sales staff, right down to smaller venues of around 200. getting the message across to even one person is satisfying, simply because I am passionate about what I have to say. cheers Stevo
Steve you have been a real inspiration to me. I never really thought about becoming a keynote speaker until I signed up for your free speaking course. My dream was basically limited to becoming a corporate trainer and occasional public speaker. Now that dream has expanded and I’m now dreaming of becoming a Keynote Rockstar.
Thanks for all you’re doing for us aspiring speakers.
Steve, I’m loving the mental toughness secrets of the world class, thank you so much! I speak now to smaller groups of 30-40 people on a weekly basis. I have seen myself in the Georgia Dome at our company’s convention sharing my story to 80,000 people of where I was when Primerica found me, and how through hard work and persistence where I am today, and yet better where I “will be” whenever the date is of the vision of myself speaking! I will continue to grow stronger and stronger as the years progress, Lord willing I have 30-40 years ahead to inspire the masses!
Steve, I see myself speaking corporate as well as a keynote speaker because I love them both. I currently speak to small groups of 10-50 people locally and I find I really enjoy speaking to the groups. I want more.
Steve, This isn’t personalized but I wanted you to know understand my dream speech. It would go something like this…
Throughout the history of modern politics the Heavenly Father’s plan for mankind unfolded on the surface of the planet earth as three global orders left a definite and lasting impact in the international community of the world. Each global order conquered a vast territorial domain and established a controlling element over a wide variety of different peoples and nations. Each global order contributed signif-icantly to the advancement of the earth’s surface and the betterment of mankind; however, were powerless to end the ongoing global problem of war and terror in the Middle East.
To advance the world into its final developmental period of modern politics we (the people of the world) must re-learn the 2,700-year history of the international community, which is divided into four periods of development: 1). The Origin of the international community 2). The Colonial Expansion of the international community 3). The Colonial Revolution of the international community and 4). The Establishment of a Fair & Equitable World Justice System.
The first developmental period of modern politics was the longest in world history as the Roman Empire established the origin of the international community around the Mediterranean Sea from the 8th century BC to the 15th century AD. For more than 2,000-years the nation of Rome formed the political foundation of the world as the former city-state body of politic was transformed into an expanding, dynamic and constantly changing international community under one government. After the fall of Rome the international community was divided into two political halves as the Eastern Roman Empire and the former Western provinces of Rome established a controlling element over their individual territorial domains.
From the 15th to 20th centuries AD the nations of Western Europe extended the borders of the international community from the Mediterranean to the outer confines of the earth. The European state system replaced the Roman Empire as the most powerful force in the world as the Eastern Roman (or Byzantine) Empire was defeated in war by the Ottoman Turks. The Western European continent was the political power center of the world as the Holy Roman Empire of Germany, Great Britain, France, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands established vast colonial empires on the surface of the planet earth.
In the last three centuries of the second millennium the Middle East conflict continued unabated in the international community as the former colonies of Western Europe revolted and achieved thier freedom and independence on the surface of the planet earth. The United States of America was transformed into the most powerful nation in the world as the Original Thirteen American colonies defeated Great Britain in the American Revolutionary war and, subsequently, completed the Western European conquest of the Native American Indians on the North American continent. The American state system replaced the European state system as the most powerful force in the world as the simultaneous occurrence of these two global manifestations changed the political face of the earth.
The North American continent replaced Western Europe as the political power center of the world as the First & Second World Wars signaled the end of the Colonial Expansion period. The Colonial (ie Industrial) Revolution period greatly increased the wealth of the world as the mass production and distribution of the train, airplane, automobile, telegraph, telephone, radio, television and computer significantly improved transportation and communication in the international community. The nations of the West established International Government to maintain the affairs of the international community, however, the Holy Alliance, the League of Nations and the United Nations were powerless to end the ongoing global problem of war and terror in the Middle East as the final developmental period of modern politics remained the establishment of a Fair & Equitable World Justice System. Steve,
One of my life goals is to reach ten million people with a message of hope and inspiration, a message that they, too, can break through the wall that stands between them and the life of their dreams.
Each time I read or view one of your posts, I see field-proven ways to achieve my dream.
So far, my largest audience has been 200 people. I’m doing it wrong, but I’m making corrections and I’m making tiny steps in the right direction. Your advice makes the road a little smoother. I’ll get there.
You show how the real world of public speaking works. I can’t count the number of “experts” whose ads show that they are The One, who all promise me the best way to become a paid professional speaker, and who all earn less than $30,000 annually.
You’re an inspiration! Thanks.
Hi Steve,
I am so glad that I discovered your Free Speaking Course.com online. I am currently developing my topic and putting together my plan, but I know I want to work the corporate market, large venues, keynote speaking (I know I can make stages SHAKE!), corporate training and also work the public market. I spoke to Dawn a few weeks ago and she is FANTASTIC! I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
Steve,
Thanks for the inspiration you give to the up and coming speakers. I took your free speaking course and now I’m enrolled for the Nov, 2010 Bill Gove Workshop.
My dream, is to reach the masses with my healing message. Yet, the thought of reaching just one still pushes me forward.
To one day reach the stage of a massive stadium, would be outstanding. My passion is my drive, my story will tell the tale and I will succeed in reaching those in need of hearing what I have to say.
Steve, once again thank you! I look forward to seeing you and Dawn in the near future.
Oh how I can relate to this…
Hi, I’ve been researching this topic for awhile and I must say the information is great. Thanks!
