I’m sorry but in this case, you are just too subtle for me. I’m not seeing any great contrast on the energy levels between you and the interviewers. I can’t see how I could gage their energy level in any productive way from what you showed.

I can’t seem to find that Columbia, NC interview on Ch. 19. However, looking at the other interviews, I think that part of “Contrast Creates Excitement,” when it comes to TV, is to point out to everyone that you “gage their energy” when you “mirror” their body language. You do that very well on most of those interviews and visually it is very pleasing as you do not come across as being over powering. The Host crosses their legs, you cross yours. Host sits forward, you sit forward. Host faces you directly, you face them directly, etc.
I remember that technique from the workshop as it applies to characters in a vignette, but I’d never considered doing that in an interview.

Listen for the contrast in tone. It’s a pretty major difference in most of the interviews. The body language of the hosts is also far greater than mine. Watch again and see if you see and hear it.
