Professional speakers, authors and coaches in the personal development space like to refer to themselves as thought leaders. After 30 years in this business, I can state with some authority that most are not. Most are motivational speakers that like to hear themselves talk and get applause. This is the reason I quit the National Speakers Association years ago. Since Donald Trump has been in office, less than 2 months, I’ve hardly heard any of these people stand up and speak out against what’s happening. I challenge every speaker who calls him/herself a thought leader to show some backbone and take a stand, or stop calling yourself a thought leader. Talk is cheap. Time to prove yourself. #personaldevelopment#professionalspeaking
