If you’re speaking internationally, you want to be sure you charge enough to cover the additional travel time and personal “wear and tear” on your mind and body. I’ve delivered speeches all over the world and enjoyed it, but it’s physically and emotionally taxing and you need to be compensated for it. Be sure your fee structure reflects the additional miles and stress. Watch this short video (2:02) I taped in Costa Rica and I’ll look forward to your comments.

Saw your latest CR thing – when I was working on all of the airport master plans I did for CR we would occasionally take the milk run out of New Orleans. That took about 7 hours but we went through every country in Central America…..
Thanks Steve

This comes from the top 1% earning speaker in the world
This is one area many speakers aren’t sure of especially in Africa. Steve’s approach is timely and interesting.
Hi Steve, thank you for sharing your experience with me. I am a teacher and would love to become a motivational speaker in and out of the classroom. I would like to share my life experience to motivate people because I think I have something to say The things that I do for people often move me…whenever I write about my experience, it is, as if I am talking about someone else. It leaves this moving impact on my soul. I have been mentors to children in the streets and out on the streets. Watching your videos make me more dedicated into moving towards this goal. thank you and have a nice day:-)
Are you having the host of the seminar make the travel arrangements? And are you getting your fee upfront?
Hi Steve,
I just spoke in NY, Canada and Barbados. I made the mistake not charging additional fee. Thank you for this video and to add a 25% fee to my speaking fee.
