The speaking business in owned by insiders. People attempting to build a speaking career in traditional, linear fashion almost always fail. This is a topic you won’t hear at speakers meetings because most of the people in leadership positions are on the outside. Watch this short video ( 1:33 ) I shot after speaking in Boston. I’ll look forward to your comments.

I am an International Speaker, Author, Life Strategist, and Coach. I have been blessed to speak in several different countries and have touched hearts and motivated them to take “action” on setting goals and taking “action” to achieve. My passion is to ignite the positive potential in everyone’s heart and empower them to dare to dream, get real about their life, and to make dreams become reality. As a coach, I keep individuals focused, on track, and accountable to me for their actions both negative and postive so that they will achieve success. Referrals are a big part of my success as a speaker. http://www.stepoutfor success.com
Dear Steve,
Stimulating betterment on this platform under coaching and or public speaking headings respectively will always extract unity or enthusiasm from the intended receptive audience. Your video will no doubt attach weight to these mechanics.
Referrals can only be beneficial.
That’s what Polly Bauer said at Mainstage in Atlanta back in January 2012. There was also another lady from a big pharma company at that event (her name escapes me at the moment) who also reiterated that. So far, it’s sure worked for me.
A referral is an endorsement in your past work….its priceless. Working with great people…..priceless to the tenth power.
Thanks Steve.
This is so true. Once you break into the inside it’s easier to build your speaking business.
Steve:
Again – a great reminder to always be building your referral network! I’m always working on this, and it’s paying huge dividends!
Hope you’re having a great holiday!
